Happy New Year!

I hope you all are well on your way to planning for your New Year! Hopefully you've already had a safe and restful break and you're refueled with sleep and goodies. Continue to enjoy it, matter fact, my hope is that you've all been snuggling up with your blankets and a good book--which brings me to the purpose of this post.

You all should be reading a book of some sort. It should be of valuable and note-worthy content, meaning that it's a book you can easily recommend and with enough value to discuss in class with us. I picked up The Perks of Being a Wallflower, by Stephen Chbosky. It's only a couple hundred pages of light easy reading, it's an epistolary novel so it's written using a series of journal entries. My expectation is that you each have done the same and are developing the questions and preparing a synopsis of the selection like we discussed before break. Below are the requirements to serve as a reminder:

Great Books I:
  • Develop 2 Level III questions
  • Prepare an *original synopsis 1/2 page length
* Original, as in, I can take the synopsis, google search it and not come up with any matches! Although I know you all won't do that because that's plagiarism.

Great Books II:
  • Develop 4 Level III's  (Come on, don't whine, your pro's already.)
  • Prepare an *original synopsis 3/4 page length  (Yes, I expect a little more detail and better quality writing as GBII students.)
* Yes, you too! See above notation.

Enjoy your break. I look forward to discussing all of our books when we return.
